We'll See...
We'll see how this goes! Blaze is asleep in his bed on 7 West. It was so incredibly hard to leave him. They said they'll call if they need us. My guess is I'll be over there very early tomorrow morning. The nurse suggested we leave and get really rested tonight so we'll have energy after his surgery and he needs our attention. That makes sense.
It turns out his Pulse-Ox is very low. That's the number that measures his oxygen saturation. SO...it's a good thing he's being watched over by the medical community. They have some very anxious nursing students helping out today...so he should be watched well. No monitors were hooked up when we left. I'm sure that will change soon. He does have his IV in so he should have plenty of fluid for tomorrow. He's eating like a champ!
It sounds weird to admit, but I really prefer to leave him in the Cardiac ICU, because he has one on one attention and he is constantly monitored. He doesn't have to wait for attention there. It's a good thing, though, that he's not there. I know that. It's just hard on a momma heart.
Thanks so much for your encouragement! We appreciate it more than you know.
